Those of the Christian faith may wish to work in a non-profit career allowing them to share their faith. Many Christian organizations may need professionals with ample experience to help spread the word about Christ. Religious studies may offer students the same benefits as other humanities and liberal arts majors. That may include the possibility of a high earning potential. Job seekers in this field may need to provide support, fellowship, and guidance to others within the organization. They may have a work schedule that requires being available at any time.

Priests and pastors work to expand the ministry of Jesus Christ. Like other leadership positions, healthcare and other benefits such as a retirement plan may be available.

Director of Religious Education

Working as a religious education director may allow a person to work in school settings, youth groups, and in after school programs. They may lead small group programs or lead large ministries. This is often a larger role than a Bible study, but typically involves teaching, leading, creating educational paths, and supporting the organization’s mission.

When looking to pursue a role as a director of religious education one may need a bachelor’s degree in many cases.
